@bassmaster517 Can you advise us what you did that resulted in your receiving your refund. I have emailed Rob and Patrick and Rob has responded but I think he can only do so much. This has been going on about a month.. Thank you.
Hope everyone at Auto Mag that live in the area of Loris are doing alright with the storms and severe flooding from the hurricane.
So I’ve been reading through posts and given that my name hasn’t moved on the “list” since I learned that it existed I have to ask; does this gun actually exist?! It’s been years since I placed my order and I haven’t heard anything back in about a year. For some reason my original log in on the forum doesn’t work anymore so this is a new name. It seems more appropriate.
@mikekoberlein so it has been some time since I got my refund, but when I got mine I had talked to both Patrick and someone else who’s name I cannot remember but who told me he had great confidence in the company. I was not convinced by these conversations and requested my refund, which showed up as a check a few days later.
immediately following this, another person reached out to me to ask about getting a refund as well. I told them the steps I followed, and as far as I know they were the very next person to ask, and the company’s response was that they needed shareholder permission in order to issue further refunds. I don’t know what happened after that, but this was also around the time that the customer service people stopped answering the phone and responding to emails. To be fair I was no longer contacting them, however they had been non responsive in the weeks prior to my asking for a refund, but issued it quickly once I asked.
Obviously I am no longer trying to contact the company, however I can say from what they said about the lawsuit that it did NOT see my I me that what they’re saying is a win for them. Pure speculation, but it really seems to me that they’re in the middle of a lawsuit and may not have the funds to be issuing refunds at the moment, and may have been ordered by a judge not to. I keep loose tabs on this forum just because I was very interested in the pistol and had at one time paid in full, but between the lack of shipped guns, the lack of communication from the team, even the announcement of a 357 magnum version which seems insane to me given the struggles they’re already having, I think the ship is sinking or maybe already sunk. I would request a refund in voicemail and email and keep records of those communications, but in a worst case scenario I don’t think many customers are going to be high on the creditor list for being made whole.
I hope none of this is true and that they’re just getting back on their feet, because I’d still love to own one someday and the people I’ve spoken with there have always been friendly. I just don’t know how to interpret the current situation in a positive light.

Thanks. Fortunately I only paid a deposit, so I have a rather expensive coin. I do hope that in some way they get the gun going, but like you mentioned, the .357 version was a really weird announcement. I would have kept that one under wraps, but I’m not in business in any meaningful way. It sounds like the people that paid are up a creek.
I know it’s been a long time since I have done an update.
First and foremost, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your patience and commitment to owning an Auto Mag. I understand that many of you have been waiting for a significant amount of time, and I want to assure you that your support has not gone unnoticed. To date, we have shipped over 400 units, but around 200 orders are still pending.
**Current Challenges:**
As you may know, the journey to bring the Auto Mag back into production has been filled with unexpected hurdles. Despite our best efforts, we have encountered several challenges that have delayed the fulfillment of your order. These include:
- **Hostile Takeover Attempt:** a group attempted a hostile takeover of Auto Mag, seizing control of the management and deciding to shut down operations. Despite this, I fought in court to regain control and restart production because I am fully committed to fulfilling our promises to you, our valued customers. Unfortunately, the damage caused by their actions was more extensive than initially anticipated. The supporter who funded the restart is unwilling to continue providing financial support until this situation is fully resolved. We are currently engaged in mediation/arbitration, which we expect to conclude within 2-3 months. Until this is resolved, we are unable to continue production or complete the guns that are in process.
- **Management Committee:** The actions of the management committee have strained relationships with vendors and employees, complicating our ability to maintain the processes we had in place. We are now focused on rebuilding vendor relationships and ensuring we have the right personnel to move forward smoothly.
**Our Commitment to You:**
I want to make it unequivocally clear that your order remains a top priority for us. We are actively working on two potential paths forward:
1. **Completion of Your Order:** We are striving to secure the necessary resources to continue production and deliver your Auto Mag as soon as possible.
2. **Refund Option:** Should it become evident that fulfilling your order is not feasible in the near term, we are committed to offering a full refund of the amount you paid.
**A Final Word of Thanks:**
I understand that this has been a long and challenging process, and I sincerely appreciate your continued support and patience. Please rest assured that we are doing everything in our power to ensure that you receive either your Auto Mag or a full refund. Your trust in us means the world, and we are committed to upholding it.
If you have any immediate concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly.
Warm regards,
Patrick Henry

Well, guess we are back to no communication from Loris. Three weeks of calls, no response. Last call with a person was 24 July, was told about some ‘mediation is going on..’ He wasn’t at his computer, but would get back to me by the end of the week. If I don’t hear back, call on Monday. I did and to the voice mails again.
I think I’ve had enough and don’t have the stomach for this anymore. I ordered and paid in full back in 4/2022. Was to be my retirement gift to me for retiring from the USAF after 35 years.
If Patrick is reading, I am at the point I’d like a refund. Money’s tight and the money I put forward would sure help now.
@rstrobachhotmail-com im sorry that this has happened. I am now setting up the phones to forward directly to my phone if no one answers. I put an order in Friday and it should be updated by tomorrow. I will get Patrick to call you ASAP
@phenry3 Good morning Mr. Henry. I sent you a certified letter requesting a refund due to my medical condition which the US Postal Service indicates was received by an individual at Auto Mag on Monday, August 12th, 2024. Could you please advise me what the status of my refund is please. I have been in email contact with Rob for over a month concerning my refund request. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Mike Koberlein
@mikekoberlein hey Mike, I gave your letter to Patrick as soon as it came in and your number. I will get him to call you again.
@robautomag Rob if you could have Pat contact me by email or cell phone text, I would appreciate it. I am hearing impaired and it's difficult for me to hear on a cell phone. Email and text are my preferred means of communication. Thank you! Mike
I received my presentation case today, order completed! Thank you Rob!
