@bob-cohee I will try to keep all of you in the loop as much as I can since Patrick is so busy. We really are working as fast and as hard as we can to get your Auto Mags into your hands. We are so close to the finish line that I can taste it.
There has been some discussion on the AMt Forum.
How are the 5000 round reliability tests being conducted?
Is it one gun?
Is it shot by hand of some type of machine rest?
Rob this is good information and the reason for safety testing. Please continue to keep us updated and thank you again for the grips. T
Sorry for the slow response. I've been setting up programs on our laser engraver and engraving products that will be in the store soon. Since we are still testing, we don't want to release that information just yet. Once we have completed the service life testing and we have analyzed the data we will release a full report on this forum first for all of you to look over.
Waiting for 2 years 8 months for my pistol.
Waiting for 2 years 8 months for my pistol.
Me too. Hopefully Santa is coming early this year.
Hopefully they will remember the commitments to early purchasers who have been waiting. They said mine would be ready for my dear hunt this season.... Not this season. Which came and went. However, I would like to know that the extra care around fixing old design flaws and quality issues has resulted in refinements that we will enjoy with quality and our personal safety in mind.
Looking forward to receiving these!!
I'm in for 3 years & 2 months, but I want mine to be right . Perfection takes time, just hope it's sooner than later !
Ordered and paid for 2 pistols and a friend ordered and paid for one. Was told at SHOT 90 days delivery. What a lie..Auto Mag has had my (our) money for years. We better see our pistols in the first shipment. I’m not real happy with the delays and excuses. I,ve tried to get on the email update list you can,t seem to get me even this, I have to get them from my CUSTOMER. Not a happy dealer. Davy Gurley
I did not start out to do anything but reproduce the original Auto Mag but as I learned of an issue that would cause out of battery firing I could not in good conscience ship a gun that I was not completely safe. As we spent more time with the redesign we found quite a few issues(more than 50) that would make the gun much better for the customer. Along the way I have tried to let the customers know what I was going to do and why, as well as let everyone know that they could get a refund or wait. Some choose the refund but most were happy to wait. You always have had the ability to get your money back but after not contacting me directly and calling me lair I will be processing your refund today. If anyone else is tired of waiting and you don't ask for a refund and you complain about how long it taking you will get a refund as well.

Some of you probably received an email from our store. We are in the process of changing stores and the new store automatically sent out the email before were ready to go live. We are in the process of uploading all the data now, so you can ignore that email.
We finished the 5,000 rd test firing and are very happy with what we found. We found several parts that we think we can redesign to improve their service life. Even though we were only going to shoot 5000 rounds I think we will continue shooting it until it finally stop working to see what else we can learn. The frame ring has a slight bend to it and I think will not last a total of 10,000 rounds. We did learn that if you don't clean the gun and make sure the recoil rods are tight, the most you will be able to shoot reliably is about 35-40 magazines(250-300 rds). We made a modification to the sear. It will be slightly longer and have a milled contact surface. Those will be ready this Friday and we will start assembling guns next week. We have a standing order for 40 frames castings every two week. The next frames should be here by the end of next week. We will start milling the ones that are here after we start the next batch of magazines which should be Wednesday or Thursday.
