@andyc That's good to hear. I had a High Standard that I had to sell several years ago, We moved last year and I finally got around to setting up my reloading room a couple of months ago.
That's when I found 50rds of 44 AMP brass and started looking for a replacement. I didn't know it was being produced again until I started my search.
It seems that everyone is happy with what they are getting. I'm looking forward to having an Auto Mag again.
I paid a year ago in full still waiting sure hope it’s worth the wait

You and me both brother.
I know they got in a bunch of the 6.5 inch barrels in. Rob told me, when I called him about a week ago.
@johnnyfly One year ago! Good luck, ordered mine 2 years, 8 months ago and still waiting.
We are shipping guns. It is not at the numbers we would like, but we are doing everything in our power to increase production. When I started this project I did not know the full extent of the problems the original Auto Mag had. Each time we found a problem I made a decision as to whether I would want a new Auto Mag with that issue. If I did not, I held up production until we could address it. Since that time we made over 50 improvements and I am very proud of what we are shipping today. It’s still not perfect, but it is now safe and reliable unlike the original. You only have two choices. You can wait or get a refund. Going forward, if you want to complain about the wait I will automatically refund your money and will start your refund Monday.
Am curious to know if the 8" barrels are a thing yet
What I can say it's that it's totally worth it - my new one performs so much better than my original, it's no contest at all.
That is great to hear, thanks Andy
I bought my 8 1/2” AutoMag and waited a little over 3 years for it as they were just starting up. It is a work of art, and very accurate. I am so glad Patrick and Rob shared so much information along the way as well. I load my own ammo too. It is well worth the wait. The gun is in a class all by itself. Nothing else like it. You are in good company.
I am still trying to locate a set of reloading dies. I have a set on back order but the latest estimated delivery date is Feb. Anyone out there know of any that are available?
I have heard the Hornady (formerly Pacific) 44 AMP dies are crap.
I bought an extra set of 1970s vintage RCBS 44 AMP dies a couple of years ago on GunBroker for $175 total. I would be willing to sell them for what I paid, if you are interested? These are traditional steel dies (four-die set), not carbide.
Let me know if you want them?
@pantera-mike Yes I am interested in the dies, how can I get in contact to arrange it?
