Yep, that was my thread re the Hornady dies. While I still have them and am keeping them as spares just in case, I wasn't impressed by them - far wiser to spend a little extra and buy RCBS first time around. Lubing the cases isn't a chore; it's not like we're loading thousands of cases in one session...
Although the Hornady sizer was a pain, their shell-holder was infuriating.
Any update as to when the RCBS dies for the 44 Automag will be available for purchase?
FYI there is a set of 1977 RCBS 44 AMP dies on eBay right now. There is also a set of 357 AMP dies…
@pantera-mike, RCBS maks a pretty fair die for Auto-Mag been using their dies for years
Wow.....received my 6.5" satin Automag today. Beautiful.......certainly worth the wait.

Without pics, it never happened! 😀
Can’t wait to see it!
The first thing I did after receiving it was to carefully round the corners on the Kensight rear sight. Touched up the blueing and it's good to go. You'll know why I did this after you receive your pistol. Overall workmanship appears to be excellent.

RCBS is ready to make the dies, but they are still waiting on a carbide shipment. From what I understand it will be 4 month or longer before they receive it.
Have Patience. Just want to chime for those who might think the waiting or delays are endless. They’re not. It might seem like forever; but when you hold your own Automag in your hand you’ll know it was worth it. And the only thing better than that, was the muzzle flash illuminating the entire range from sending off that first round… and the bug eyed looks from everyone who stopped shooting to see what made the roar. Many thanks to Patrick and the Automag crew.
