I have a full Auto mag RCBS die set(not for sale). Just wondering if 44 magnum dies could be bored out from the .456 diameter to the Auto mag die size of .458? Both are straight wall, correct?
@far_shot No, NOT correct. Auto Mag is a tapered case based in the 308 family (30-06, 270, etc). However RCBS carbide dies swage it into a straight-sided case with a slight bulge at the bottom. It reverts to tapered inside the chamber when it’s fired.
For those that can't get dies ASAP for the 44 AMP, it should work to resize the (starline) 44AMP cases in a riflesizing die for a caliber 308, 243, 22-250, and more. That will give you the correct resized 44AMP case dimention.
Then use 44Magnum dies to flare the case, fill the powder and set the bullets, in other words make the cartridge.
A RCBS 4 die set(MINT) sold today on GB for $1,030.00
Currently, there is a Pacific 3 die set on GB. It will be interesting to see what that set brings.
Are there any holster manufactures in the USA that can manufacture a holster for the Automag?

I have talked to a few of them over the last week and we should be sending out the 3d printed model to the first one Monday so they can start working on it. I will post the list of the companies soon.

The Bianchi X-15 (the large one that is for 7.5-8.5" barrelled pistols) is one, but that is a shoulder rig only and maybe not what you are looking for.
@bartwatkins Thanks and will see what Rob has located for the pistol. He mentioned Automag will be listing several manufactures in the near future.

The Pacific Durachrome company was purchased outright by Hornady in 1971, which is how they expanded from being just a maker of bullets, into a full-scale reloading company. I therefore presume these are the same as the subsequent Hornady dies that people such issues with.
