Patrick

Just wanted to say thanks for the update, and to let you know that I am very pleased with the product that I have received. Thank you very much for bringing back this great American classic.

Really good news Patrick!.....Of course this has been a long haul, but simply knowing the quality of the investment you are making for our Automags is inspiring on its own.

Thank you again for the update!!

Mr. Henry, could you give us the block of serial numbers, that the first 20, 8.5" barrel guns will be?

@phenry3

Hi Patrick,

What s/n will be the first 8.5" of this 202 ?  Are the serial numbers concurrent with  the 6.5" models?

I just watched Gun Stories,  pretty good, but they kept saying it's gas operated,  it's really a short recoil operation right?  They fueled my fire some more.  Thankyou sir, please keep a'gettin it !

AW Treat

I’m interested in a more general breakdown of the serial numbers so far.

I presume the Founders Editions had their own serial number range?

What was the lowest, and highest, and was the range all-inclusive?

Then I assume the Classic Editions have a range of their own?

What was the lowest, and the highest so far?

Are numbers assigned to customers at the time of order, or at the time of completion of a given gun to the customer’s specs?

I understand some 8.5-inch classics have been delivered, then those orders were suspended, and 6.5-inch guns were delivered. At some point in the future 8.5-inch classic production will begin again. Do all the classics share the same serial number range, or do they have different ranges depending on barrel length? (That would be weird IMHO).

Do the guns that were produced by Excel exist in the same serial number range as the current guns or are they different?

Will the buyer of an 8.5-inch Classic who ordered his gun four years ago and is awaiting delivery have a higher or lower number than a 6.5-inch owner who has already taken delivery?

And now we have the Ravens. Do they share the same serial number scheme as the Classics or do they have a unique serial number range?

This stuff may seem trivial now, but owners of original Auto Mags understand how important this sort of info is….

@pantera-mike - I can supply a tiny bit of that info re the Founders Edition - serial numbers are prefixed with "FE-" (mine is FE-39) and they run up to FE-77 (a friend of mine owns that one).

@pantera-mike I have FE-34 marked Loris. Love the Gun! My other is A01175, a "Collateral" gun I believe. Interestingly they are 49 years and one day apart!

@gbertolet would you maybe know are orders being filled in the same order they were received (ascending by serial number) ?

my s/n is 210.

my s/n is 209

In one of my conversations with Rob, I expressed my growing concerns over "the squeaky wheels getting the grease" on whether or not orders were going to be filled on the basis of first come, first served basis.

Before I could even finish my question, Rob responded ".....that is the only way we are going to do business or we will lose your trust."  I heard what I needed to hear.  As far as the SN's and orders placed, it would make sense to follow that linearity but we would need Rob, Patrick or other member of the AM team to validate that assumption.

All the best,

@packhawk hey….that’s great. Can’t wait to get mine. Pre-ordered ammo from SBR, so this will soon be the best long awaited range day in quite a while!

It is now March 1st and the barrels were supposed to be in in February.  Did they come in or was that still another pipe dream?

@rory-welper The orders are filled in the order that they are placed. We don't move people up because they are a "squeaky wheel"
