Just curious…

Those of you that have pre-ordered .44amp ammo from SBR, how much have you ordered?  Don’t need exact amounts, just something like two boxes of 50 rds or 10 boxes, or like more ?  Just wondering what the trend on ammo amounts are for the Auto Mag.

The last time I spoke with anyone about how much .44amp ammo that they felt was good to have on hand was back in 1980 and it was made by Norma.

@packhawk I ordered about 500 rounds. But I had nothing previously on hand.

Well…I’d say it be up to the shooters preference, some will choose to reload or maybe get into reloading for the first time, but when you look at the history of this firearm and the quality, care and time the gentlemen at AutoMag have put into all the improvements of the gun, making it safer, stronger and for sure more reliable, an investment in a 4k pistol plus the high cost of ammo, this will be a frequent shooter for some, but for me, it’s gonna be a special occasion, using reloads, with the round count a lot lower than on my other EDC Guns. It’s gonna be AWESOME 😎

Well today marks the 114 day since I ordered my RAVEN pistol!    For a pistol that was to be available to ship in 60 days from day of order I guess Auto Mag missed their mark.  Same goes for the 8.5” pistol for customers waiting for years.

Have to ask yourself is this pistol actually worth the wait?

I inquired last week on the status of my 8.5" Automag. I was informed that they were working on my hundred block of 8.5" SN's now. I am in the 140's. So apparently they have some 8.5" barrels, and production is resuming. Things are beginning to look up a little.

I just looked back at my Raven order and it was on November 24, 2021, so that's 120 days.

I was told on my Founder's Editions it would be 90 days and that ended up being 3 years and 90 days. I had a call confirming my FFL a couple of weeks ago and was told the Raven would be a couple more weeks so any time now.

I'm not worried.    😉

I received a call yesterday from Automag for an updated FFL from my dealer because it expired since I ordered the pistol.  I was told in 2 to 3 more weeks I should have my 6.5 inch brushed stainless;  I received a similar call back in early December but that was a false start. Not concerned, it will get here when it gets here.  This will be my third Loris, SC Automag and waited over 2 years for the Founders Edition.  Still have another 8.5 inch baking in the oven.

With all this talk of serial numbers for the CE 8.5 barreled pistols (which is what mine is), I decided to call and see if they could give me my serial number. Mine is in the early 300's which is about what I expected since I ordered mine on Sept 1, 2021 (and so did not expect mine to be finished up in this first run of barrels that came in and they are working on). The gentleman that I spoke with said that they are working on getting the kinks out of the rifling machines and should be able to ramp up production (on these later serial numbers) soon. This is great news to me and happy to at least now know my exact serial number!

Anyone want a new Automag Model 180D, 6.5” barrel, high polish, G10 grips and wood grips included.

Purchased the Raven Auto Mag model and have no need for two AutoMags.

Will sell for exactly what it cost me from Auto Mag Ltd and you do not have to wait 2-6 months to receive it😀

Feel free to contact me and I can provide photos and price if needed

@softsounds did you finally sell this or is it still available?

Is there a way to find out what number my 8.5 high polished is in the lineup ?  I called last fall and was told that Mr Henry was on vacation and would call me with status and chat about the process.  Did not happen and I really didn't expect it to happen.  Do I need to call again ?  Would just like to know !  There seems to be fair sized increase in 44 brass on Gunbroker for sale.  Think maybe people who been sitting on this stuff are unloading what they have - as Starline is currently producing again.  Got a thousand rounds of brass in about a week ago from Starline - $389.00 shipping included - was ordered in June 2021.  Very glad to see things are progressing !!!
