I have a problem with it too and I haven't lost much strength at all - granted I'm a skinny dude but I have good finger/wrist strength from playing guitar.
To quote Bob above and merge his suggestions together: "You thumb-cock the hammer first. The hammer spring is very stiff too. Cocking it greatly reduces the effort needed. You can always push the muzzle of an unloaded AMP into a soft or padded surface and the accelerator will unlock the bolt and get the process started for you"
Also, my cocking piece is very slick due to the high polish - I may actually get into the grooves with a small "safed" triangular file just to rough them up a little without marring the looks.
@bob-cohee Thanks Bob. Good to know I'm not the only one. Yes, I ended up doing as you did with the muzzle partially pushed to make it "easier." Still, it certainly seems excessive. Especially after seeing the video for disassembly, which has since been taken down. 🤨
I'll look into the Lomont/Jurras suggestion..
Thanks!!
@andyc Thanks andyc. As I won't get a chance to fire it again till November any suggestions will be tried..

Things are moving forward with in house production of the Auto Mag pistol. We now have the ability to manufacture barrels and barrel extensions in house.
I don't know if this will help any but my 8.5-inch Auto Mag (CE88) was ordered in August of 2018 and I'm still waiting.

I should be getting my Raven any time now and I hope the the barrel came from the old vendor to be honest.
Not many small pistol manufacturers build their own barrels and I assume there is a reason for that. I hope everything goes well with the new equipment.
Spoke To Patrick today regarding the Raven and there is a issue with the ion bond finish and the Raven is basically on hold until they can find a suitable finish that adheres to the receiver/barrel. They are looking a black chrome upper and a ion bond lower currently.
Auto Mag will be sending out a email on Monday, I was told to explain the issue and they will be offering four options for those that ordered the Raven🤔

My Auto Mags go ‘BOOM!!!’ In the video, yours go ‘Phhtttt’. It looks spectacular but sounds like it’s suppressed. 😁
