Oh! You know, I hadn't even noticed 😆 - maybe a combination of being outdoors and a crappy microphone on the GoPro my buddy was using. Muzzle-flash is strangely absent, too - maybe I'm onto something... 😊

@packhawk:

Not a word or a email that Patrick promised would be sent out on 4/4/22 (Monday). Apparently they are continuing to keep their customer base in the dark so I will call on 4/5/22 (Tuesday) and ask when the email will be sent out with the four options for Raven customers that Patrick mentioned would be available to chose from with one of the options being a full refund!

I want the Raven.  I’m sure they are working out the details and such. I would rather that they have everything in order for options and such when they send out a letter instead of getting partial info out to meet a timeline.  I’m good, just curious.

We were going to release an update on Monday about the Raven.  Our sub contractor wanted to provide us with accurate details on the finish and was not able to do it by Monday. We are planning an update as soon as we get the information. When we get everything in place we will be contacting all of our Raven customers. As for the classics, the new machines are in and are running parts. They are running barrels and barrel extensions in house now. The tool and die shop should be getting mills in this week and we will make most of the stamped parts in house. The classics are in production and will be heading out the door by order date.

I picked up my 6.5 inch Brushed Stainless edition today. Now I just need a dry day to take it out and shoot it.  Just a question on the presentation case and the magazine cutouts. They are different than the cutouts in the Founders Edition cases and the mags don’t actually fit the cutouts.  The upper left corner is cut on a diagonal as if the follower wasn’t taken into consideration…..or is there a trick to this?  The Founders Editions cases a squared off in the corner of the mag cutout to accept the follower,

Good news Lane!

One question, I have not seen one of the matte stainless AMP's in person and in the pictures they look more like a bead-blasted finish than a brushed stainless.

Could you post a clear close-up photo of the finish in case I want to buy one when the rush is over.

@bob-cohee I think you are right about the finish.  When I first looked at it it looked a little off to me but didn’t really make the connection.  In the end it wasn’t a high polish finish which is what I wanted so I didn’t give it a second thought.  But it certainly looks more like a bead blast finish than a brushed stainless.  I took a picture with my 629 brushed stainless for comparison

Thanks, I wonder why they  are calling it a "Brushed Stainless" finish when it is not.  I am not very fond of bead blasted finishes but that is just me.

Here is a 41 AMP that Max Gera mounted scope ring on for me and of course, as usual, he did not finish it.  Larry Grossman gave this a "Brushed" finish.

@bob-cohee I have quite a few bead blasted stainless rifles but never had a pistol in this finish. All my pistols and revolvers are brushed stainless except for one color case hardened Ruger. In hind sight I may have gone with the High Polish in my 6.5 inch gun had I known; this does look a little odd to me. I don’t know if there is a complaint department to take this to since this is definitely not brushed stainless. The Raven in black does nothing for me and have no interest in a black semi-auto

All their photos on the website pretty well showed it to be bead blasted so I would not think there is much to complain about.

Their 8 1/2" barrels are also actually 9 1/16" which I havent figured out yet either.  No harm done I guess.  🤔

The magazine cutouts in my Founders case are the same as yours.
