What causes that to happen is the shooter is using the "thumbs forward" grip that is popular with the shooters in the race games.
I have never gripped a pistol that way but I put I put a "Gas Pedal" on my SIG 320 X-Five Legion and experimenting with it. It is hard to get use to but I think I am able to get back on target a little faster with it. Time will tell.

@bartwatkins They build the guns in order number sequence so the sn is a nice to know. Aug 6 2019 (3 years ago), order 100324. I was the 36th 8.5” CE order. 2 ahead of me dropped out which made me 34th. I picked my sn. It is CE99.
