I see, that’s kinda what I’m a little worried about, seen too many posted videos of residential security camera footage of UPS or FedEx drivers giving the old heave hoe to a customers delivery onto the front lawn, over the back fence, thrown on the ground, even drop kicked to the porch (flat screen TV’s even). You could say they have zero empathy, however that’s FedEx managements problem, workers pre pandemic understaffed, underpaid, overworked, having to do constantly more with less. Makes one wonder just what in the hell these companies really prioritize, having to always beat / exceed the last quarters financials. At some point in time this level of “financial misbehavior” is gonna reach a point of equilibrium, then what happens? Then you have smaller businesses who fully depend on customer care, loyalty, quality of service and more, to only have their business hampered by things they can’t prevent, damage, loss, theft. If I mentioned here the number of times a ammo order of mine disappeared at a UPS sort facility without a trace, well, then the overall picture has greater clarity, it is the world we live in anymore….sad. Keep up the great work Rob, you and the entire AutoMag team ! 👍🏻🇺🇸
It’s very easy to create a YouTube account, and once you’ve done that, it’s easy to upload videos there. Once that’s done, anybody can view them, and you can post a link to them here. 👍
Just go to www.YouTube.com
Mine came in the presentation case. It was my understanding when I ordered it (01/2019) and paid in full that it would come in the presentation case. I think those that were ordered much later or only paid a partial deposit had to order the case separately and in that situation, the extra items would be shipped separately and direct to the buyer. I will certainly send a range report once I can find some time to get to the range, hopefully this weekend.
I ordered a Raven with a presentation case along with some extras. Pistol came in a plastic case while the presentation case came in separately. I did pay in full when I ordered.
I paid in full Dec 2020, and still had to buy my presentation case.
The wooden presentation case wasn't a freebie for everyone - at some point (I think in 2018?) Patrick had decided to give them to the paid-up Founders buyers as a kind of "thank you for your patience" gift because of production delays. Something like that, anyway (which was appreciated).
As I remember it, the wooden presentation case was always a part of the "Founder's Edition" package when paid for up front.
For the other AMP's it was an option or a bonus for paying early.
I love shooting my Raven but it has been jamming upon extraction more and more lately. The spent case gets stuck while ejecting. Any ideas how to correct this or is this something that I should return to Auto Mag for correction?
Does the bolt lock back on the last round every time? Sometimes the bolt is not going back completely when this problem occurs. Could be a load or lubrication problem.
Does the extractor look OK and clean? Sometimes they chip or develop a "hook".
Does the ejector look OK and seem to be functioning properly? Push on it and test the spring tension.
Yes the bolt locks back each time the magazine empties.
The extractor looks OK and is clean and the ejector moves properly from what I can tell.
Only have 200 rounds through the gun at this time.
Are you using factory ammo or handloads? Have you tried increasing your load some or are you as high as you want to go?
I guess I'm just suggesting the easy stuff and you have probably already tried all of it.
-I'd give it a super good cleaning and lube job.
-I'd look at the magazines and see if something looks wrong there and see if one magazine performs better than the other.
-If I could not find any obvious problem areas, I'd call Auto Mag for suggestions.
Hey Guys,
Im sorry I have not been involved with the forum lately. I have had a lot on my plate. I will try to start checking the forum once a week and answering questions where I can. If you need to get in contact with us, the quickest way is to give us a call.
Thanks Bob
I’m using factory SBR ammo, 240 grain.
Ill check and clean my Raven again and look more closely at it.
Did polishing the recoil rods and such make it easier to pull the charging handle?
