I still haven't cracked the 100 mark yet (but steadily moving up - from 138 to 131). 😎

I don't know if anyone has ever dealt with Craft Holsters or not but I have purchased several from them and like them a lot. I was recently sent an email from them talking about adding over 100 new holsters which prompted me to ask about the Automag and if a holster could be made. He did say it would be added to the wishlist and if enough requests were made he would make a few. Here is his email back to me and the address to make a request.

Hey Fred!

Sir, thanks for coming back to me!

Unfortunately, we currently don't offer holsters for the AutoMag .44 pistol 🙁

However, I did just add this model onto our customers' wishlist and if holsters for this pistol get requested often enough, we'll do our best to start making at least a couple of them in the future.

Stay safe!

Best regards,

OK - in a big coincidence, I just happened to purchase a holster from them and it just arrived a few days ago. This holster was for a S&W Mod 59-3 wheelgun but I must say how impressed I was with this holster and this company. Shipping was very quick and I have literally a crap ton of other brands of holsters - some custom made - other not. But I know a good quality holster when I see one and this holster from Craft was top notch.

I saw this post weeks back and read it but at that time had never heard of them and kind of passed the post by. But now?? I'm telling you I would purchase a .44Automag holster from them in a second if they would make one. So how do you do this? Just go to their website and leave customer feedback and ask them to do this?

I sent them (Customer Support) an email and here is what they said back (basically the same thing as they told you):

Hello Bart,

Thank you for choosing Craft Holsters. We are sorry to inform you that as of now, we are not offering any gun holsters for your exact gun model. However, we will add your gun model to our customers’ wish lists and if we start producing holsters for your firearm, we will let you know.

If there is anything else we can do for you or if you happen to have some other guns you might need a holster for, feel free to let us know. Thank you for your understanding.

Best Regards,

KlaretCustomer Care Specialist

Interesting extra marking on frame trigger guard, I haven't noticed this on any other pictures. Good way to prevent mixing old with new I guess. Can't wait to get some ammo!

We did this to be compliant with the new ATF ruling on frames.

Just wondering out loud when the next progress update will be done to update the shipping list. Last one was done on October 27th.

Just received my Classic edition yesterday and I cant stop looking at it. The order was placed just shy of 2 years ago and was worth the wait. Where I screwed up is not purchasing the charging assist tool which I realized I needed yesterday when I got it home. If you have any weakness in your hands such as arthritis like I have it will be impossible to pull it back. It is not so much the strength needed to pull it back but you need to have a good grip on the charging handle which I couldn't maintain. I ended up using plastic spring clamp from Harbor Freight I had like the kind you would used to clamp something together once you glued it. This will work fine till I actually get the charging assist tool which I have already ordered. I will be taking it to the range tomorrow to see how it does.

Range test update-  Gun functioned flawlessly . Fired 75 rounds total with first 50 rounds being from Reeds Ammunition and Research. The last 25 rounds from SBR and were 240 gr HP's. Recoil was not as bad as I thought it would be but it does produce a huge fireball . It was very accurate shooting off hand I was also able to recover most of the brass as it ended up just around 2 to 3 feet behind me. Going to load up some of own now and see how that functions.

Wow, I might have to get back in line for another. Picked up a satin 6, that polished 8 is nice!
