I would like a set of those to try out.

I would also like to get some new hi-vis sights for my Auto Mags.  My eyes aren’t as good as they were 40 years ago.  Even white dot sights would be good.

Hey guys, we are working hard behind the scenes. I will update you guys as soon as I can.

Rob, did you send me a Facebook IM chat this morning? My guess is that someone has hacked you on FB - so just letting you know.

It had something to do with the captcha issue on the forum here. If it was actually you then just let me know.

Did anybody hear if Auto Mag is appearing at the NRA meeting? I’m here and was hoping to see them?

I still feel like we are getting the runaround on this. No one can “officially” speak to current events on this “authoritative” forum?

Shame, this is a beautiful handgun, I hesitated to buy one for decades. I knew going in this was going to take some time, But with the lack of updates it feels like I'm being taken for granted at this point.

I got a phone call from Patrick Henry and I feel reassured that things are going to improve soon.

Looks like the new member issue on the forum has finally been resolved which is good.

Ordered my 8.5 Classic 12/2020, paid in full, been waiting ever since. An update would be nice @robautomag

Good golly Miss Molly...  I just got into the forum now myself.  Been waiting on my 8.5" Polished Classic order since July '22, not nearly as long on many on the last progress list I got last year.  Sheesh!

But anyway, anxious to keep up with the limited "happenings" on here!

@jfleisher So regarding the call from Henry, what makes you believe things will get better as stated?  Give the current status of dumpster fire did he give any specifics that would encourage other members?

I'm not entirely sure what I am allowed to share. He said that the factory move to Connecticut is off. The machinery never left Loris, however the tooling got shipped out, but had already been returned to Loris. They are getting ready to start production again. They have enough parts for some guns, and he just placed an order for more frame castings. As usual, he offered a full refund, however, I told him I want the gun. I just wanted to make sure that is still happening.

@426mopar That's why I got a refund. I found a very nice Pasadena gun, replaced the recoil springs and firing pin spring cleaned all the old lube

that had turned into a varnish like goo and now she works great.  Full 7rd mags of 22grains H110 and 240 gr Hornaday bullets and she is %100

@wcapps10363 I'm surprised that 22 gr of H110 would function the gun.  I'm currently running 24.0 with that 240 Hornady for 1420fps.  That's about the lightest load that'll run my TDE.  I used to load 26.0 (1640fps in the 8 1/2" barrel) but that's really not needed.  40 years ago, I pushed the AutoMag pretty hard, but parts were cheap.  I broke quite a few bolt rotation pins and cratered a lot of primers.  Those days are gone.

@lance-c Several years ago I had a High Standard that never was reliable no matter what I did. I admit I knew little about them and now I know I was using the

wrong lube for one thing. My loads using 22grs H110 and the 240 XTP  with Starline brass an average of 1239 fps using reformed 308 brass that same load is averaging

1326 fps. I'm using Shooters Choice with FP10 for lube and so far, it functions %100. I have not fired more than 100 rds in one outing. I will have to load up 500 and see how many I can fire before it starts to malfunction.

Remember that rifle brass is thicker and military rifle brass is thicker still. So you will see notably increased pressures and velocities with mikitary brass. That also means that most reasonable published load data (like Hornady) which uses rifle brass can safely be exceeded, but ONLY after testing with the published loads. My TDE won’t cycle with 22 grains either, with Starline brass, but runs just fine with the same load using rifle brass. My chronograph testing shiws about a 100fps increase with commercial rifle brass vs Starline. It would be even greater with military brass….
