Wonder how they are ever going to get the skilled workers back....if they get this sorted and can start production again? Apparently unemployed and now working someplace else 🙁
@qezj152 I wonder what happened with Bill Tuttle's research, I have not seen or heard of anything from him since he passed the word about not being able to log in to the forum. Did ever get the bottom of things, or did he get silenced? Seems like we would indeed hear something from the company, good or bad.
If only there were some way for the new owners to communicate with their customers, like email, or a forum, or something…
Again, Go to south Carolina courts online, Horry County. Enter Patrick's name, all public files. He brought a lawsuit in on October 6th, alleging that he is locked out of his building. The new auto mag LLC has taken all assets, may have even sold it all off etc. This is all in the filed documents. Stopped production months ago and shut business down in September. Not Patrick's doing but some of the group bill tuttle posted on here are listed as defendants...Again, please look for yourself, this does not matter how you feel good or bad about anyone at auto mag, however it could take years to even get back the lost time. I have written mine off now after reading all this on line. This is only opinion of mine and only off of yhe facts of court records... no hear say... this letter never made it to me but it is even an exhibit document in the lawsuit.
Boy has this turned into a ride!
I placed my order in June of 2021, and just got the email yesterday about the investor litigation.
Rob and Patrick have always answered my questions etc. Apparently I was about 10 orders away from receiving mine, and now the phones are dead.
I emailed my order form and number, with a copy of my $4,300 bill on my card from June 2021 asking about the status of my gun.
No word from anyone.
I was told early this year that one of the investors had tried to move the company to Massachusetts!
That didn't work well, and Patrick, Rob and a few others were shipping 5-10 a week on the evenings and weekends.
I hope I'm not out a gun. I have all of the other Automags except the P180, and I really don't want a refund unless their is no hope of ever getting a new one.
If anyone hears otherwise, obviously post here.
I would also be interested in buying a new one from someone, even if it has problems.

Looks by the Court filings that Patrick was the only member with a FFL, so they now cannot manufacture firearms without him. Seems like he made a series of HUGE restructuring mistakes in order to raise Capital that got the company in this mess. One would have to think he was trying to save the company by doing this as he could have filed for Bankruptcy otherwise.

Anybody who has ever spoken with Patrick knows this company is his heart and soul. I think he would rather live in a box under an overpass than declare bankruptcy and disappoint customers.
One has to question the motives of the investors who probably wasted millions of dollars and many months trying to wrest the company out of its location and move it all to another state, only to then realize that was dumb, and then move it back….
I'm not sure that I should say this, but Patrick is the only FFL holder. The investor that tried to take over the company and move it to Massachusetts apparently is literally an "institutional investor" that had no business investing in a firearms manufacturer.
Apparently he got an "unpleasant" visit from the ATF informing him that "One does not simply move" a firearms manufacturing facility without the ATF's blessing, and definitely to Massachusetts! I think that the investor thought it would be a "pump and dump" on the investment, and when it wasn't, he tried to bail out.
I hope Patrick and Rob are well protected from this guy.
As an engineer myself, I have watched the improvements in manufacturing that Patrick has made, and he's far along the right path.
I wouldn't be shocked if the investor actually is trying to trash the company with the intention of taking it at a fire sale.
It sucks to be caught in the middle of this for everyone involved.
I hope it gets resolved.
I expected a long delay because it was re-starting a long lost legend. I was kind and they reciprocated. I asked to choose my serial number, and they supported me. Nice handgun that shoots well… super accurate, and I load my own.
The two year wait was worth it.
A day at the range. I fired 50 rounds that I hand loaded from new Starline brass. The gun likes to be well lubricated, and is really accurate… more accurate and more reliable than my prior Wildey 10” .45 Win Mag. I did notice the front sight needed tightening, and my rear sight almost came un-pinned. Other than that… it goes through magnum ammo much too fast. I have not fired it for a while.
Beautiful firearm, I'm not so sure now the way things are that I would fire mine If I was to receive it. That is Unless a Model E came to be !
