My Founders Edition and my TDE, just for comparison.
Andy: Thank you for posting these pic's! Coming up on a year since I placed my order for mine....hoping to be able to post a few pic's of my own soon!
All the best!!
The AM boys are getting them out of the door, so I doubt you'll have to wait 3 years like we early birds did 😉
@andyc Yep, for me is will be 3 years this Saturday, but based on those pictures, and what Rob, Patrick and the team have told me and demonstrated, it will be worth the wait. Still encouraged. Rob said it will not be long, and he said he obtained an updated FFL from my dealer, who is still in business, which is good.
Oh, you're a long-timer too, Paul - cool!
Well, if Rob says it won't be long, you can take that to the bank - and yeah, I'm so stoked about this pistol, I'm still giddy every time I take it out of the case and I bet everyone will feel the same. It's one heck of a pistol!
Did a double-tap on steel:
Nice! 😀
Here are my two "Founder's Editions" , FE-23 and FE-24. They were the lowest number FE's that were made with the new frames and had all of the improvements. They were the first AMP's to be shipped from the Loris S.C. shop in 2020.
Here is an interesting AMP that I own.
It is a Lee Jurras "Custom 200 International" made back in the mid 1970's. It features an 8 1/2", 3/4 vent rib barrel and is chambered in 357 AMP. This one is magna-ported and features a high polished barrel and frame. They could be ordered with a removable stock/brace which attaches to the pistol via a dovetail in the grip frame. This pistol is cased in a Gun-Ho Case with a faux tiger skin liner which just screams "1970's". The scope mount is a one of a kind prototype designed by Kent Lomont.
The "Custom 200's" are considered by many to be the most beautiful AMP's ever produced.
Here is the stock/brace attachment.
Here is a photo of my Classic.
And… another photo in the case.
Here is the stock/brace attachment.
Is the stock legal by ATF standards or is there an exemption. Not trying to be a wise guy but truly am curious. I know the broom handle Mausers had an issue and today it is hard to find a stock with the attaching iron because ATF considered it a SBR unless you had a tax stamp for the Full Auto version. People took the attaching iron off and tossed them because then ATF didn’t consider it a stock since it couldn’t be attached to the pistol.

My understanding is that it is covered under the Curios and Relics classification. There are not many of the AMPs with the stock/brace option because most buyers did not want to go through the ATF paperwork and stamp fees when they purchased their pistols which was requried at the time.
You have some beauties, Bob!
