To: Patrick Henry III, Tim Bell and the entire Auto-Mag Crew,
Thank you so much for everything you've done to bring back the AUTO-MAG and improve its durability and function in many ways. With production about to begin, I wish you much success in this project. Having waited to own an Auto-Mag since the mid-70s, I am looking forward to finally have that opportunity. I only wish Lee Jurras and Kent Lamont were here to experience the new improved version.
All the best,
Wayne
Just saying Hi.
Ian
Will you ever consider releasing the "Baby" automag (22LR) again?
I like the high polish that is shown on the initial “Founders Edition” handguns produced.
Looking back at my order, I wonder what the satin finish looks like in comparison. Is it a fine brushed finish? I am thinking that this might be better for what I was looking for.
I've asked for a matte finish on my FE.
Have my dad's original 44 Auto Mag, which he purchased, new, in about 1971. Believe it to be an A model. Love shooting it. Yep, have to reload for myself, but that is part of the fun. Looking forward to ordering, soon, one of your improved re-creations. What is the appearance of the satin finish? Is it, roughly, the luster of the grip frame/lower, or is it more polished but not the mirror sheen of the polished? Thanks in advance. CC
@robautomag Now, what would really be cool, is to have the frame (lower) and the upper available in the high gloss/polish. Perhaps that is a future possibility when you folks are hard pressed to meet all of your orders, because of your Phoenix like rise from the ashes, and you are running at 100%. Sure love shooting my original. Looking forward to shooting the new and improved. CC
@ccibsen - if it helps, I'd asked for my Founders' Edition to be a satin finish.
@ccibsen We definitely could offer a high polish lower down the road, but our top priority now is hiring and training new staff to work on the existing manufacturing line without sacrificing quality.
@rodney-fox For now we will both call you and email you just to make sure you are aware of the pending shipment of your Auto Mag.
