Rob

Do you think Automag would have a 45 Winmag upper in the works?

New member but been around guns all my life!  I just added an Auto Mag II .22 Magnum to my collection.  I also have a .380 acp and .45 acp Backup.

Retired after 30 years active duty military (4 years Navy and 26 years Coast Guard) and 10-1/2 years on the Northern Border between the USA and Canada - Port Huron, MI.

Just checking to see if anyone knows if other grips are available for my Classic Edition?

I have used these with great success:

http://grips4u.net/category/pistol-grips/auto-mag/auto-mag-44-357/

Some minor trimming on the back side is necessary to ensure clearance from the safety lever and bolt release, so that there is no undue stress placed on the grips. Failure to ensure adequate clearance will result in the grips breaking under recoil, which I learned the hard way. Once I installed them properly, and fitted rubber O-rings between the grip screws and the grips, I have had no further problems. They are MUCH more comfortable than the original blocky black plastic grips of the 1970s guns.

And of course Auto Mag themselves offer several grip options….
