[snip] On the presentation cases, [snip]

Seeing the pictures for the "new" style of presentation cases, I can say I much prefer the first design that was offered.  The style that is in Justin Opinions video with the red interior.  Also, I personally don't care for the "Dirty Harry" engraved on the lid.

Uh…where did you see these pictures? Just based on your description it sounds like a terrible idea  Dirty Harry? Please….

The only cases I have ever seen proposed were the wood presentation cases with the red velvet interiors (too Las Vegas lounge for me) and a very practical black plastic hard case, which is what I would opt for if I had a choice.

Can you share where you saw these pics of this other case huh are referring to?  Thanks!

@pantera-mike, If you go to the Auto Mag store page and in the "Accessories and Gear" menu there is a link for "Cases".  There are several images of the new and old case.  The cases are almost identical.  The newer case has a "key" lock vs. the "brief case" 3 tumbler and latch.  The new case has a green interior.  The new case is shown in two configurations, one with the gun facing left and one facing right.  I could be me, but the finish on the wood seems to me nicer on the newer case. Different wood?

Ah, thanks for that! I suspect the ‘Dirty Harry’ engraving is just a ‘Your Name Here’ thing, as opposed to them mass-producing boxes that actually say ‘Dirty Harry’. That would just be embarrassing…..

@beltfeded Im sorry, but that is is not the case we sell. I think when they put pictures on the site they must have used pictures from a folder that they should not have. I think that was a prototype. The cases that we we do sell are the ones with the red interior and combination lock, like the one in Justin Opinion's youtube review.  Im going through the whole websites now and getting a list of pictures that should not be there. Sorry for the confusion. I should have it corrected in a few days.

@robautomag, I'm sorry for spreading "Fake News" 😆.  I made the incorrect assumption that those were "new" images on the updated web page.

@beltfeded no worries. I actually appreciate you bringing this to my attention because now that I am looking over the whole front side of website I see other things that need to be changed.

I don’t know if I read far enough back in the thread however one thing Rob did point out to me is the new cases have silver hardware which match the gun a lot better than the old gold hardware. I think the silver really looks nice. Looking forward to getting mine! Kudos to Rob For the effort in getting these very nice cases and working out the details.

Besides Justin Opinon, have you loaned out guns to any other reviewers yet? Would love to see a hicock45 and/or DemolitionRanch review.

I was skeptical at the tool that was built for assisting in pulling the bolt reward for charging the gun while it is still new and un-fired, but I admit after buying one, it is really slick. This will be great for initial break in and wish I would have had one in the 80s. Really good job AutoMag team!

After a burst of enthusiasm in March, with Classics supposedly shipping at last, things have suddenly gone strangely silent. Has something changed? Have shipments to customers ceased for some reason, or slowed down dramatically?

I spoke to Mr Heny about a month ago. He said they were up to SN # 55 at that point. He also mentioned that they were being starved for barrels and bolts, by outside vendors, who were not delivering in timely fashon. This was holding up production. If they had all the parts needed, they were currently capable of producing about 80 Automags a month. So blame it on the vendors, COVID, or whatever, it's conditions beyond Automag's control. I know it's difficult, but we all must be parient.

FYI, out of curiosity, I also asked about the gun supplied to Justin Opinion. Mr Henry said that was just a loaner for a review.

Has anyone received a newsletter recently? I've been subscribed for several years, but I can't recall ever receiving one. It would be nice if they would update the site more often, even if it's only "waiting on more barrels and bolts".
